4th of July Berry Trifle Recipe

Trifle is one of those dishes that always looks so complicated to make, but really isn’t. They also look very fancy. I like that combo. A dish that looks like you put a lot of work into it, but you really didn’t have to.

This trifle is super easy and very tasty. The fruits make it a definite summer treat. Strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream make for the perfect red, white and blue Fourth of July combination.

If you’re looking to impress your guests this Fourth, give this dish a try. It’s sure to please.

4th of July Berry Trifle

2 pound cakes

1 package cream cheese

1 small jar marshmallow fluff

1 tub of whipped cream

4 cups blueberries

4 cups sliced strawberries

Cut the pound cakes into bite sized pieces and then set aside.

Empty the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff into a large bowl. Beat the two ingredients together until well combined. Swirl the whipped cream into the fluff mix and then set aside.

Place half of the pound cake pieces into the bottom of the trifle dish. Layer 1 1/2 cup of blueberries over the pound cake. Scoop half of the whipped cream and fluff mix over the blueberries and spread so it evenly covers the berries. Layer 2 cups of strawberries over the fluff mixture. Add the remaining pound cake on top of the strawberries. Layer another 1 1/2 cups of blueberries on top of the pound cake. Smear the remaining fluff mixture over the blueberries. Use the remaining 2 cups of strawberries and 1 cup of blueberries to make a festive 4th of July design on the top of your trifle.
