It's called the "Mountain to Molehill 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run and BBQ." And it will be at the Canyons Athletic Club Saturday October 19 in Hamilton.

It's an official "Sprinkle Pink" fundraiser this month, with proceeds going to the Aid to Mammography Fund at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

The 5K run will start at 10:30 a.m. with Forrest Gump (Steve Weber) starting the runners. The 1-mile start will be at 11 a.m. A barbeque, provided by Nick's Family Restaurant, will start serving at 12 noon.

Other activities will keep all members of your family busy until the event ends at 2 p.m. There's a bounce house, face painting, pink hair salon, 50/50 marshmallow drop from the tall ladder truck of the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department, and a twisted version of a dunk tank, where pink slime will be dropped on community members.

The 5k registration is $15 in advance, $20 the day of the race, includes t-shirt, goodie bag and bbq. Team registration is $75 for up to 5 people and includes t-shirts, goodie bags and bbq.

The Family walk is $5 registration and the barbeque is $5 each serving.

This is the second annual "Sprinkle Pink" fundraiser at the Canyons, and includes sponsors Curves, FabYouLess Fitness, Bellezza, Richards Automotive, Hamilton Pharmacy and the Bitterrodders.

Other Sprinkle Pink events are listed on the Marcus Daly Hospital website.
