On a recent sunny afternoon, a little porcupine found a comfortable crook in a tree and settled in for a little nap.

The little guy was not concerned about humans going by on one of the trails at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge.

How do you get a porcupine out of a tree?

You don't. Just let this little spiky guy sleep.

Partially hidden in the tree Oct. 21, the porcupine sleeps. (Mike Daniels, Townsquare Media)
