The Ravalli County Museum lawn was at overflow capacity as a crowd showed up for an afternoon of Cowboy Songs and Poetry Saturday, September 12.

The show started with a video presentation from humorist Baxter Black and then quickly switched to music with a classic western song, "Sierra Pete," sung by Doug Hogan with accompanying violin of Ellie Nuno.

With food and drink to keep them going, the crowd enjoyed a variety of old songs and creative poems during the afternoon. The money raised by the annual event benefits the Ravalli County Museum.
