The summer concert season on Tuesdays in Hamilton is complete for 2016. The Jean Matthews Tuesday at 12 Summer Concert Series wrapped up August 23 with a noon hour performance by Joan Zen.

This was the first year without series founder Jean Matthews, who passed away last winter. The outpouring of financial support for the series was gratifying, said committee member Russ Lawrence. The Tuesday at 12 committee would like to thank their corporate sponsors - Ravalli County Museum, Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital, Bitterroot Drug, Rapp Family Foundation, Diane Thomas-Rupert and Paul Kink, and the Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement District. There were over 50 other businesses that donated funds to pay the musical artists each week.

The free outdoor concert on the lawn of the Ravalli County Museum had to move indoors twice this year, due to weather. Both the Big Sky Mudflaps and Josh Farmer had a more concert-like experience on the second floor of the museum.

The groups this year included Big Sky Mudflaps, Jenn Adams, Pinegrass, Shakewell, Zeppo, John Floridis, the Cantrells, Josh Farmer, Tin Cup, Joan Zen, and the Bitterroot Community Band.

The plans are being made for next year's series! Here's a gallery of this summer's memories (photos by Steve Fullerton):
