A Smokey Sunset from Earlier This Week in Western Montana
The forest fire season always brings with it a great amount of smoke.
So far this year, the Bitterroot Valley has escaped the huge clouds of smothering smoke and ash, but we’re only midway in the fire season.
Sunsets, though, can be amazing as the Sun shines through layers of haze and particulate. Air quality has improved with the recent thunderstorms. However, the storm winds have already spread wildfires in directions firefighters don’t want.
KLYQ will keep you up-to-date with forest fires in the area – including Idaho. The 7:30 Bitterroot Morning news will have the latest information, and we’ll also post it right here online.
