AARP Offers Vets Free Driving Classes
Making roads safer is the goal of the AARP driver safety classes. And to honor veterans on this Veterans Day, the Montana AARP classes will be waiving their entrance fees for the month for all veterans. All military personnel, active duty or retired, are eligible to receive a free Driver Safety Program classroom course during November of 2011.
Military spouses, including widows and widowers, and dependent children are also eligible. Proper identification is needed.
The AARP classes help aging drivers adapt to physical and cognitive changes to older people. Participants who complete the class also qualify for an automobile insurance discount.
The next Hamilton area course will be November 18 at 9am at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. It’s a 4-hour class and you can register at 406-363-6583.
