“All the world’s a stage!”
The Hamilton Players have announced their 2011-2012 season of plays at the Hamilton Playhouse. Volunteers were given a preview of the “Main Stage” plays recently.
The season will kick off June 10th with a three weekend run of “The King and I” as the first summer presentation.
By the way, auditions for that play are Monday and Tuesday, April 18 and 19, at the Hamilton Playhouse at 7pm.
The second summer show will be the comedy sequel from the “Greater Tuna” writers- “Red, White and Tuna” for two weekends starting August 19. The Broadway classic “Cats” will be presented for three weekends starting October 28 and then for Christmas “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) a comedy for two weekends starting Nov 25. The winter musical this year will “Thoroughly Modern Millie” in February and March. The Hamilton Players will kick off the season with an Aloha Luau April 30 at the Bedford Building, Hamilton’s City Hall on South 2nd from 5pm to 8pm. There will be games, food and performances with a traditional Hawaiian theme. (Getting in the mood for “The King and I”)
The players also bringing back the Renaissance Faire July 30 and 31 at Claudia Driscoll Park and Bozeman’s Shakespeare in the Parks August 3rd.
And by popular demand, the Hamilton Players and the Daly Mansion will present a Murder Mystery at the mansion Oct 21 and 22 this year.
