The North Valley Public Library will concentrate on the Montana State Flower - the Bitterroot, all in one evening.

Thursday, July 14, the video "The Story of the Bitterroot," filmed and directed by Steve Slocomb, will be shown at 5:30 p.m. in the Stevensville library's community room. That will be followed by John Stroud, author of "For the Love of the Bitterroot," who will answer questions about the plant and how it played an important part of culture in Western Montana.

The library is at 208 Main Street in Stevensville and the phone number is 777-5061.
