…And Then There Was One.

Age and decay have claimed all but one of the tallest trees at Hamilton’s Legion Park. The City Council recently voted to take out the remaining century-old trees before further development of the popular park across from City Hall on south Second Street.
The final tree is also slated for removal. To provide shade, permanent shade structures will be installed and more trees will be planted.
At the next council meeting Tuesday April 3, the council will also vote on a contract with Great Western Park and Playground Equipment for about $64,000 of new equipment for the kids’ section of the park.
More sidewalks will be installed and the restrooms will be brought up to current standards.
