Cryss Anderson, the current fairgrounds administrative assistant, was selected to replace retiring Ravalli County Fair Manager Deborah Rogala Thursday.

Rogala had announced her retirement at the beginning of 2016, setting her final day on the job at the end of December.

The Ravalli County Commissioners advertised the position and narrowed about 20 applications down to just a few for job interviews this week. At the end of the interviews, Anderson was selected, dependent on background checks.

Anderson has been the main contact person at the fairgrounds office for two years. Her working knowledge of the fair, the facilities and all the activities that happen year-round at the fairgrounds was a key factor in the commissioners' decision.
