A second new culvert installation will cause some traffic changes on the Bitterroot National Forest.

Tod McKay of the forest reported that Beaver Creek Road is the location of the project at the Soldier Creek Crossing. The work is being done at mile post 5.1 on road #91 south of Painted Rocks Reservoir and will last about three weeks.

As a detour around the construction, officials are suggesting Woods Creek Road #5669. Signs have been posted, according to McKay.

The new, larger culvert will help during high water in the spring and will be better for fish passage.
