Apostle Raise Controversy Still Simmers With Teacher’s Union Boss [AUDIO]

The controversy around MCPS Superintendent Alex Apostle continues to swirl with comments made Monday by Eric Feaver, President of the MEA-MFT, the state’s combined teacher’s union.
Feaver says Apostle’s raise is simply too much for these difficult economic times.

Feaver says Apostle’s $20,000 per year increase minimizes the everyday efforts put forth by the district’s teachers and staff.

The school board voted 6 to 4 to approve the raise in January.
