With the excellent music of the valley band Blue Melon, McIntosh Apple Day pulled in the people from throughout Montana and Idaho Saturday, October 5.

The traffic was rerouted around South 2nd and South 3rd at Bedford, as over 100 booths were set up in an expanded Farmer's Market, along with all the apple-oriented activities and sales including 500 apple pies, apple cider, caramel apples, apple butter, BBQ with apple chutney and boxes of locally grown apples.

Tickets were sold for a huge raffle, with more items than we can list here. And money was raised for the Ravalli County Museum, as it works to preserve and present the area history in the old Ravalli County Courthouse.

And the crowds came. The streets were packed with people, enjoying a perfect early fall day in the Bitterroot Valley.
