Trout and waves will soon adorn an electric switching box next to the Pine St.-US 93 traffic light in Hamilton.

Corvallis High School students from the art class and the after school programs started work on a design to add waves and fish to the previously blank surface of the box.

Corvallis student Chantel Jessop designed the painting and is helping create the finished product with Ilya Jankunas and Halee Jessop. Instructor Joanna Johnson said the school completed a similar painting project on a switching box next to the Coffee Cup Cafe last year. She and instructor Kevin Silkwood are coordinating the project.

The painting is right across US 93 from the KLYQ studios. You can see the van in the parking lot.
