Astronaut Enjoys His Bitterroot Valley Stopover [audio]
Astronaut and adventurer Dr. Scott Parazynksi made quite an entrance Friday morning at Corvallis.
He was flown in from Missoula via helicopter. He immediately started meeting with students throughout the day and then presented a public speech Friday evening at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton.
The purpose of his visit was fundraising for the Corvallis Middle School Science Olympiad team’s trip to the National Finals in Florida in May.
However, it sounded like he enjoyed his visit as much as the kids enjoyed talking to a man who’s been in space five times and on top of Mount Everest, too.
