Aurora Movie Booked for Re-opening of MSU’s Taylor Planetarium

In Bozeman, the Taylor Planetarium at the Museum of the Rockies has been remodeled and is re-opening March 2.
The facility has a newly installed Digistar 5 projection system – on a par with the top two planetariums in the world, according to a Montana State University news release.
To open, the planetarium will show “Experience the Aurora” by Evans & Sutherland and goto,Inc. There will also be special “Big Bird” show for the little kids at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3.
The auditorium has new carpeting, LED lighting and seats 110.
MSU uses the facility for research and education for college faculty and students, shows for kindergarten through high school students, and the general public.
