Fire Marshal Charged after Intoxicated Man Dies
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The Great Falls fire marshal is charged with negligent endangerment after an investigation found he was pushing an intoxicated bar patron home in a chair with casters on it when the man was thrown from the chair and landed face-first on the sidewalk, causing a fatal head injury.

Schweitzer Leaves Smith Case For Bullock
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Former Gov. Brian Schweitzer has left the pending request for clemency from a Canadian citizen on death row for new Gov. Steve Bullock.
Schweitzer left office Monday without taking any action on the case. The former governor told The Associated Press that his replacement has all the paperwork necessary to evaluate the case.
