If you were asked to name the most expensive hotel in the U.S., you’d probably choose a posh hotel in one of the big cities like New York, but a new survey reveals the priciest location is in Philipsburg, Montana.

A survey by Luxury-Hotels.com finds The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg is the most expensive hotel in the U.S., based on the average daily price for a standard double room for the period spanning June through September 2012. Folks pay, on average, $2,279 per night at The Ranch. And that’s based on double occupancy.

We just got off the phone with Hostess Brands Inc. on Reserve Street and spoke with an unnamed employee who is saddened to report that there is an official shortage of Twinkies in the Missoula area.

"No shipments in the past two weeks, not a single truck delivery in the longest time. That's it." said an anonymous worker who worked at the Sweetheart Bakery. "We are officially done."

It's a battle for online bragging rights, as Griz-Cat fever is heating up before the big game! Recently, Bozeman presented their version of Toby Keith's "Red Solo Cup," which they titled "Blue Bobcat Cup." Some Cat fans started whispering about whether Missoula could top their spirited video, which, yes, touts that the Cats are better than the Griz.
