Who's really being punished here? Valerie Rodgers, or the cops she's cooking for? It depends on good she is in the kitchen, we guess. Rodgers was sentenced to cooking Thanksgiving dinner for three cops and a year of probation for reckless driving that resulted in felony charges.
Much like how Goths like to pose in trees, Brazilian model Nana Gouvea likes to pose in front of the devastating wreckage of Hurricane Sandy. It's like posing in front of regular trees, except people died.
After the storm, Gouvea and her boyfriend took to the streets of New York so she could look sexy in front of a bunch of wreckage. The photos went up on Brazilian website EGO and caused a bit of uproar, you know, since they're at least a little tasteless. Then came the memes.
There have been a lot of awful or inspiring stories coming out of Hurricane Sandy. This manages to be both. A man found a note in his house scrawled by a person who had taken a blanket to keep hypothermia at bay. The author of the note was sure he was dying.
