College Sweethearts Marry After 60 Years Apart
Peggy Marie Pence Schuster and Henry O. Freund first felt a spark between them back in 1950 when the pair attended Southwestern of Memphis (now Rhodes College).
They exercised their young love by sitting next to each other in class and attending school events together. But like many college sweethearts, their romance didn’t make the jump into the real world. Soon after graduation, Marie married someone else, and Henry, who had joined the Air Force, did the same.

There have only been 15 unassisted triple plays in Major League history. This makes the instant inning killer the rarest play in all of baseball.
Although they don’t keep track of such things, it stands to reason there have been more unassisted triple plays than that on the Little League level — just given the sheer number of games played.

Just about everybody who has a cellphone has accidentally ”butt” or “pocket”-dialed someone at one time or another. And when this happens you just hope you don’t end up ringing an ex, or your boss at 3 AM.
But it turns out many of these inadvertent calls end up being directed to 911 — somewhere else you really shouldn’t be calling unless you have a real emergency. In fact, in New York City, 38% of all calls to emergency services in 2010 were accidental.

Kobe Bryant’s Sweaty Facial Mask Sells for $67,000
During the NBA All Star game in February, Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat shattered Kobe Bryant’s nose with a hard foul. As a result, the Los Angeles Lakers’ star was forced to wear a clear plastic protective mask over his face for the next 11 games.
Thankfully done with the protective device, Bryant decided to auction it off to raise money for Los Angeles area homeless charities. But “Black Mamba” did a curious thing before the auction began– he undercut the item’s value by joking that we were going to “see if anybody’s dumb enough to buy that sweaty mask.”

One-Armed Little League Pitcher Throws a No-Hitter
Coleman Shannon was born without a right hand and forearm, due to a medical condition called Amelia, but that hasn’t slowed him down from chasing his baseball dreams. In fact, the 14-year-old left-handed pitcher recently threw a no-hitter in a Johnsonville, SC little league game.
