New Orleans Saints Coach Payton Suspended One Year
The NFL has suspended New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Payton for one year as punishment for the team’s admitted use of a bounty system from 2009 to 2011. Payton was aware of the system, which compensated players for hits inflicted on opponents.
Payton’s suspension is slated to begin April 1.

Baseball Hall-of-Famer Gary Carter Dead at 57 [PHOTOS, VIDEOS]‘
Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter, nicknamed ‘The Kid’ for the enthusiastic manner in which he played baseball, died Thursday. Carter was 57. He had been diagnosed with malignant brain tumors in May of last year.
