Delaney fielded questions about players character. the fact that many out of state commentators have compared the situation at The University of Montana to that of Penn State, and even his age (70).

Sheriff’s Department Looking for Sexual Assault Suspect [AUDIO]
During the early morning hours of July 21, a 39 year old female (local resident) was walking home from a bar on Brooks Street when an unknown male attempted to sexually assault her. She left the bar around 1:15 am and was walking near Shopko on Reserve Street when a large Chevy truck pulled up next to her. The truck was described as champagne colored, 4 door, had a slight lift and was ‘really big’. The male driver appeared to be younger than his male passenger. As the truck pulled up alongside her, the passenger started talking to her asking ‘What’s a pretty girl like you doing walking around’. Hoping he would drive off and leave her alone she replied she was walking home and was almost there. The truck drove off as if nothing was going to happen.

Forest Service Working on Two Small Fires
Missoula Rural Assistant Chief Tom Ziegler says the U. S. Forest Service and Department of Natural Resources and Conservation are working on to small fires in the Missoula area. One fire near the Blue Mountain recreation area was burning in rugged terrain where there are no roads of trails, so helicopters have been making water drops on the fire.

Drought Will Lead to Higher Food Prices in Montana [AUDIO]
The drought that is devastating the Midwest has also affected farms and ranches here in Montana. Chris Christiaens is a lobbyist and Project Specialist for the Montana Farmers Union. Christiaens says the drought has affected hay producers, which has led to higher cattle feed prices. Many ranchers in Montana and Wyoming have sold off large numbers of cattle to save money on hay. Christiaens says this will bring beef prices down briefly, but will eventually lead to higher prices by the early part of next year.

Update – Sam Schultz finishes in 15th place in Olympic Race [AUDIO]
27 year-old Sam Schultz has been all over the world competing in mountain bike races, but his most important trip begins next week when he travels to Europe, and eventually to London for a shot at Olympic gold. Schultz is a Missoula native who attended Hellgate High School but now trains in places as diverse as Tucson, Arizona and San Luis Obispo, California. After all, it’s tough to mountain bike in the cold and snow of a Montana winter.

$75,000 Bond for Hit and Run Suspect [AUDIO]
34 year-old John Lorengo is in the Missoula County Jail on $75,000 bond after being charged in Justice Court with striking and running over Dale Gummer with his white Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Friday the 13th. Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jason Marks says Lorengo had an order of protection against him by Gummer’s sister. Lorengo had attempted to enter the Sunrise Saloon where Gummer and his sister were having drinks, but bouncers refused him admittance.
