No sign of Burgert Near Lolo
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Department and over 40 volunteers conducted a search of the rugged terrain outside Lolo Wednesday morning to search for any sign of federal fugitive David Burgert. Missoula County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Jason Johnson says no sign of the man wanted for attempted deliberate homicide was found. Authorities chose this day, because a more exhaustive search was not deemed safe immediately following the incident. A year has gone by, and searchers were able to canvass the area without being put in danger by an escaped fugitive.

Road Rage Incident Leads to Attempted Bribery of Deputy [AUDIO]
26 year-old Rance Hertz-Cimino was charged Monday afternoon in Missoula Justice Court with felony assault with a weapon and attempted bribery, also a felony, after allegedly pointing a gun at the driver of another vehicle on Sunday morning on Highway 93 between Lolo and Florence. The other driver called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

Structure Fire on West Pine Causes Evacuation [AUDIO]
Missoula City Fire was dispatched to a structure fire at 938 West Pine Street at about 7:15 Monday morning. Three engines, one ladder truck company and the on-duty battalion chief responded, along with units from Missoula City Police and an ambulance from Missoula Emergency Services.

Three University of Montana Officials Retiring This Year
On March 12th, University of Montana Dean of Students Charles Couture announced his retirement. Just this week, two more officials in President Royce Engstrom’s cabinet have announced their retirement. Vice President Bob Duringer, and today, the chief legal counsel for the University, David Aronofsky, announced his retirement at the end of the year. It remains to be seen what the status of Jim Foley, Vice President of External Affairs might be. Efforts to reach Foley have been unsuccessful, with his secretary saying Foley is taking personal time off.

Missoula School District One to Serve Free Meals All Summer [AUDIO]
Starting this week, MCPS will be serving a free lunch for any child 18 and under at five District One schools. The children do not have to be enrolled in school, and the lunches are served from 11 am till 1 pm every weekday.The schools are Franklin, Hawthorne, Lowell, C. M. Russell, and Chief Charlo.
