Steve Fullerton

A long time ago, on a cold winter's night, in a hospital that is now the Ravalli County Administration Center, I was born. I remember listening to the radio throughout my life here in the Bitterroot Valley and was really impressed (as much as a little kid can be impressed) when Hamilton got its own station, KLYQ, in 1961. Little did I know that I would spend most of my adult working life at the station. Writing and drawing my way through school and college, I found that talking was fun, too, and radio obliged. Now with KLYQ's recent change to Oldies, it's like I'm young again... then I look in the mirror.

Bicycles Ruled the Roads up Skalkaho Sunday

Bicycles and riders of all skill levels were on the Skalkaho and Sleeping Child Roads Sunday, in the annual Tour of the Bitterroot bicycle ride, sponsored by the Bitterroot Land Trust.

Riders of all ages took a number of different routes, with the longest on Skalkaho Highway over Skalkaho-Rye Road down Sleeping Child road to the start-finish line at Red Barn bicycles

Smoke Bothers Western Montanans

Fires in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia, Canada, are pouring smoke into Western Montana.

Officials say there are at least 25 forest fires in British Columbia, Washington state fires includes the 7,000 acre Carlton Fire and Oregon has over 110,000 acres on fire, including the Pittsburgh Fire, the Bridge 99 Complex, the Pine Creek Complex and the Waterman Complex
