It has become a treasured tradition in Ravalli County. The huge undertaking that is "Dreams of Nutcracker" will grow a bit this year.

Organizers have added a Sunday performance of the popular ballet on Sunday this weekend at the Hamilton Performing Arts Center.

The show is is produced by Ballet Bitterroot Performing Arts, Inc. of Hamilton and involves a huge cast of local talent, with Sarah Cerdena as Clara, Mark Nelson as the Nutcracker Prince, along with Laken Connors, Hailey Ussery and dozens of other dancers and actors filling the huge Performing Arts Center stage. The yearly performance is the biggest fundraiser for the dance instruction studios, which have recently moved to a larger facility on Bowman Road, just north of Hamilton.

This year, the show will be Friday, November 30 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 1 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the additional show Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $16 for the evening performances, $12 for the matinees, with a discount for seniors 65 and older and for children 12 and under. Advance tickets are at Wireless Connection in the Sportsman's Complex on US 93 in Hamilton.
