Bark in the Park Howled

Canine contestants on the cat(?)walk?
The Bitterroot Humane Association’s first ever “Bark in the Park” brought in dogs and their host families to Hamilton Saturday.

The afternoon of activities and fundraising was at Hieronymus Park, where a 2 p.m. dog walkathon raised some pledge money for the Bitterroot Animal Shelter. Then, the contests started with smallest dog, largest dog, best kisser, ugliest dog and, of course, weiner dog races. By the way, the race champion was a repeat winner from Daly Days – Gunny with owner Kendra Hale. Is there a Triple Crown of Bitterroot weiner dog races?

Three bands provided the music – Blue to the Bone, the Misfits and the Kings of Wing.
