Benefit Helps Cancer Battle

Over $9,000 was raised recently by the Hamilton Middle School for two staff members who are fighting cancer.
The school decided to hold a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to help Susan Matthews and Patty Pagnotta.
The event on December 14 brought in about $9,500 for the two. The ingredients for the meal were donated, along with all the silent auction items. And there were quite a few items – 200 of them!
The crowd numbered 500, according to those keeping count and the event was a huge success. Hamilton High School student Sam Kern also created a “Pink Glove” video in support of the effort.
