Bicycles and riders of all skill levels were on the Skalkaho and Sleeping Child Roads Sunday, in the annual Tour of the Bitterroot bicycle ride, sponsored by the Bitterroot Land Trust.

Riders of all ages took a number of different routes, with the longest on Skalkaho Highway over Skalkaho-Rye Road down Sleeping Child road to the start-finish line at Red Barn bicycles.

The event was a fundraiser for the Bitterroot Land Trust, which also provided a barbeque and music by the group Pinegrass.

By the way, the fastest time on the long route was 3 hours 20 minutes, posted by Caleb Senn. Dawn Whalen was first for the women. However, many rode the route just for fun or to accomplish personal goals.
