There will be at least three Youth Conservation Corps recruits this summer at the Big Hole National Battlefield, southeast of the Bitterroot Valley.

The National Park Service will be accepting applications until May 1 from youth who are 15 by June 16th and are not age 19 until after August 10. A parental consent form is also required.

The enrollees will be paid about $7.80 an hour for between 32-40 hours a week for work on various natural resource projects at the National Historical Park. They will be employed from June 16 to August 10 - a period of eight weeks.

The three positions will be drawn randomly from the received applications in May. There is a possibility for fourth enrollee, according to a news release from the Battlefield.
