It's not just the weekends that are full of holiday activities in the Bitterroot.

Sons of Norway party
In Hamilton Tuesday afternoon, the Sons of Norway will have a Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. in the Grace Lutheran Church.

The lodge will provide ham, drinks and table service. Members and visitors are invited to bring a side dish.

You can also get into the gift exchange by bringing a present (less than $10 in value). Names will be drawn and up to three "kidnappings" will be allowed of each others' gifts. The church is at 275 Hattie Lane on the east edge of Hamilton.

Corvallis Christmas Tree Lighting
Wednesday, a large crowd is expected to the Corvallis Community Christmas Tree lighting at Corvallis High School.

The event will start at 6 p.m. at the north end of Main Street in Corvallis. The American Legion Post 91 will bring about 200 popcorn balls, the Bitterroot Women's Club will have cookies and the Corvallis Civic Club is providing candy and apple juice.

The Corvallis High School Choir, under the direction of Nancy Brown, will get the music going, too.

And, of course, Santa Claus will be making an appearance. It's a free event for the public.
