Hamilton's two-year college unveiled a new stylized Bitterroot flower as its logo Tuesday.

The New logo and official name change to "Bitterroot College University of Montana" are part of the growth of the Hamilton-based community college, which started in 2009.

On hand for the news conference were UM President Royce Engstrom, Montana Deputy Commissioner for 2-year Education John Cech, Bitterroot College vice chair Dixie Stark and others.

Director Victoria Clark also announced four new degree programs that will be included in the fall session of classes at the campus, located at the Entrepreneur Center on Old Corvallis Road on the north end of Hamilton.

Those who have donated at least $1,000 to the college so far were also recognized with a new plaque on display at the main entrance to the Bitterroot College.
