Bitterroot Community Band to Serve Up Summer Serenades
The Bitterroot Community Band will make four appearances on Thursday evenings during the summer at the bandshell in Claudia Driscoll Park in Hamilton.
The band, composed of talented volunteer musicians, will play about every other week at the venue, just off West Main, near the Hamilton National Guard Armory. The “in-between” weeks will feature local groups.
The band will move to the Daly Mansion lawn on Thursday, July 24, for their annual “strawberry shortcake” fundraiser, which starts earlier at 7 p.m.
Stevensville’s Creamery Picnic and Hamilton’s Ravalli County Fair have the band scheduled August 2 at 1 p.m. and August 30 at 2 p.m. respectively. Hamilton’s ‘Tuesday at 12′ concert series also includes the band August 12 at the Ravalli County Museum lawn.
Here’s the Bandshell schedule. All performances start at 8 p.m. Thursdays:
The band always is looking for more musicians and Jeremy Ruff is the director at 363-8962. Or just show up at one of their regular Tuesday rehearsals at the Stevensville High School at 7 p.m.
