For the 4th year, Ravalli County is taking part in the nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back.

The event, where you can dispose of unused or leftover prescription drugs, will be at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds Saturday, April 28, from 10am to 2pm.

Montana ranks high, unfortunately, in children abusing prescription drugs. They often find them in family medicine cabinets, and law enforcement is providing a way to get those drugs away from curious kids.

There is no charge for the program - just being your drugs and drop them off. The program also has a drop-off box that is accessible all year - 24-7 - in front of Hamilton's City Hall on South 2nd Street.

The Take-back is sponsored by Ravalli County Prevention Coalition, Hamilton Police Department, Ravalli County Sheriff's Office, Montana Highway Patrol, and the US Drug Enforcement Agency.
