Saturday night, April 15, welcome spring with the great sounds of the Big Sky Mudflaps in Hamilton.

The 'Flaps will be the main attraction in the annual fundraiser for the Bitterroot School of Music, a division of Rooted Music in Hamilton. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the music will be filling the community room of Hamilton's City Hall, the Bedford Building, on South 2nd Street.

Organizer Jenn Adams said there is no set admission charge, but donations will be gladly accepted. Once inside the room, you'll probably be spending money on some great silent auction items, a raffle and more. The raffle, by the way, is for a vintage Monterey Archtop guitar.

There will be food and adult beverages available, too. The event raises money for student classes at the Bitterroot School of Music at the the corner of Marcus and Skeels in Hamilton. The event is co-sponsored by Bitterroot Brewery.

Some of the funds raised will help construct a new classroom for drumming instruction at the Rooted Music location. For more information, call 363-5491.
