The fall middle school and high sports schedules are set and practice for sports like football and soccer will be underway.

But first, the young athletes need a sports physical. For the last few years, Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital has helped parents get the physicals for their kids.

On two evenings this month, August 4 and August 10, the hospital staff will have sports physicals for $25 each. The money (cash or check) goes back to the school where the child attends. For instance, a kid from Victor will pay $25 and the money goes to the athletic department at Victor School. Hamilton schools get the $25 from a Hamilton student.

The hospital staff is donating their time to help the community have healthy kids.

The physicals will be offered from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm both evenings. Parents must accompany the child and must have filled out a sports physical form, available from your child's coach, at a medical clinic on or at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital website.

Oh, by the way, Hamilton High School Bronc football and basketball play-by-play will again be aired on KLYQ 1240 AM in Hamilton and online at klyq.com.
