Bitterroot Valley Schools Compete in Chili Challenge
At least five Bitterroot Valley High Schools are part of Jerry Wessels Les Schwab Tire Center's second annual Chili Cookoff, starting Saturday, February 11.
The schools compete in raising money selling their own unique chili creations starting at 11 a.m. for the next few Saturdays at Wessels Tire Center showroom on US 93 in Hamilton.
The Corvallis Tennis Team and the Corvallis Orchestral Program will be serving up the special recipes February 11. The next Saturday, February 18, Hamilton High School will be presenting the chili selections.
Last year, a big tent was set up in the Wessels parking lot. This year, the competition moves inside the main showroom.
Robert Ramsey of Jerry Wessels Tire Center said that the company will match the winning team's total. Last year the Corvallis Tennis Team earned $3,000 and picked up the matching money.
The event starts each Saturday at 11 a.m. and continues until the students have sold out, so get there early.
