The hunting and trapping season for bobcats in western Montana has closed.

The Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks closed the season Monday at midnight, December 31. The closure is for Trapping District 2, which includes portions of Ravalli, Powell, Silver Bow, Missoula, Mineral, Granite, Deer Lodge and Lewis and Clark counties.

Three days earlier, the season for trapping otters in Trapping District 2 closed. The closure was at midnight December 28, according the Montana FWP.
