All the Ravalli County Commission candidates and the three candidates for Montana Senate District 45 answered questions at a forum Thursday at the Florence-Carlton School.

The forum was one of two sponsored by the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce, with KLYQ's Steve Fullerton as the moderator. The questions were developed by local media, including the Bitterroot Star, the Ravalli Republic and KLYQ. They ranged from the future of rail service to the number of county commissioners.

The election is November 6th, but much of the voting will be done by then, according to Clerk and Recorder Regina Plettenberg. The absentee ballots will be mailed out next week and she estimates the percentage of early voters will be higher than ever before in the Bitterroot Valley.

The Senate District 45 candidates will be featured in an upcoming "Talk Back" call-in program on KLYQ and KGVO radio. KLYQ will also be providing election coverage on the air and on-line on November 6th.
