One of the Bitterroot's favorite musicians, Chip Jasmin, will be helping the community of Darby explore its history through music, dance and stories during the next two weeks.

The kids will enjoy field trips Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20, at the Darby Public Library.

Monday, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th graders will have their own hours at the library.

Tuesday, the library will host kindergartners and lst graders. The weekly story time is at 11:15 a.m. The Sula Women's Club will meet at 2 p.m.

Thursday, May 22, the Little Tigers Preschool and Daycare Center will have music, stories and dancing at 10 a.m. At 12 noon the Senior luncheon will be at the Darby Clubhouse, which includes dance performances from the 5th graders at 12:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, a community potluck and dance will be held at the Darby Clubhouse.

The next week, Tuesday, May 27, the Darby music students will have band recitals at the Darby High School at 1:30 p.m.

The festival concludes at the Darby City Park Tuesday, May 27, with an afternoon concert 3:45 p.m. The Tin Cup Trio will be part of the concert which kicks off the Darby Library's summer reading program. If it rains, the concert will move inside the library.
