Como Road Work Is Scheduled

A Ravalli County Road Department project to resurface the Lake Como Road was approved by the Federal Highway Administration. The project to seal cracks and chip seal the road will be funded by the National Forest Highways program at a cost of $366,000.
The Ravalli County Commissioners approved the project presented by County Road Supervisor David Ohnstad. The work will extend from the Lake Como Boat Ramp to Highway 93 and will be scheduled for the summer of 2012. Also included in the project is placement of Durable Pavement Markings and replacement of traffic control devices and other roadside signs.
The project, along with others in the valley, was reviewed this past summer, with the initial approval of the Como project in October. Road Department officials are hoping for approval of an improvement project on Rye Creek Road south of Darby. The decision should be announced in January.
