Western singer Dave Stamey returned to Montana and performed as the opening act for the Senior Pro Rodeo at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds June 27.

Rod Freeman said almost 300 people attended the Thursday evening concert at the First Interstate Event Center at the fairgrounds.

Freeman said the action now focuses on the arena Friday and Saturday June 28 and 29, with 7 p.m. starting times for the rodeo events, including an opening presentation from the award-winning mounted drill team, the Bitterroot Mountettes.

Stamey visited the KLYQ studios Thursday morning and sang a little (even though it was incredibly early in the day). He even let us take a photo of him with our Mary B! Thank you Dave and come back any time!
