Crockpot Cherry Pie Crisp Recipe
I love to cook with my crockpot. It makes making dinner on busy days so easy. I must confess that I own more than one crockpot. So, I love to throw dinner in my large crockpot, and put a little something for dessert in the smaller one. It makes for a very easy dinner and dessert duo. This is a very simple and delicious crockpot dessert. It goes especially well with a little whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Crockpot Cherry Pie Crisp
1 large can cherry pie filling
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup original oatmeal
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup soft butter
Spray a small or medium crockpot with cooking spray, or rub the inside with butter. Turn the crockpot to low and then pour in the pie filling.
Mix all of the rest of the ingredients together in a separate bowl, except for the butter. Once all of the dry ingredients are mixed, use a pastry cutter or two forks, to cut the butter into the mix. Sprinkle the mix on top of the pie filling. Place the lid on the crockpot and let it cook for about 5 hours.
