The crowd filled the streets for the annual Ravalli County Museum's "Bitter Root Day" Saturday, June 10.

The daylong celebration of the Montana State Flower and namesake of the Bitterroot Valley included traditional Salish drummers and dancers from the The People's Center in Pablo.

An expanded Farmers Market stretched out from Bedford Avenue and there were even bitter root plants for sale. Museum Director Tamar Stanley encouraged people to plant bitterroots, since many of the historic areas where they grew have been developed.

It was the 37th Annual Bitter Root Day.
