Daly days in Hamilton this weekend includes plenty of activities Saturday, July 23, at the historic Daly Mansion northeast of town.

The Mansion, a state-owned property managed by the Daly Mansion Preservation Trust in partnership with The University of Montana, will have some volunteer re-enactors inside the home. When you visit, you'll step back into the summer of 1912, with the family and friends dealing with the aftermath of the Titanic sinking.

Meanwhile, there will be music by the Bitterroot Ragtime Society, the original Daly family carriages on display, kids activities including face painting with Vicki the Victorian Clown, a kids tea with Mrs. Daly at 12 noon and 2 p.m. and other activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. And, it's free admission for kids under 12 years.

Then, a special barbeque and concert will happen at 5:30 for the dinner and 6:30 p.m. for a western concert with Dave Stamey. Stamey is a three-time male performer of the year of the Western Music Association. The cost for the dinner and concert is $40 and you should call the mansion at (406) 363-6004.

The mansion will host the Bitterroot Community Band next Thursday, July 28, the Drum Brothers August 10 and the Whiz Pops of September 17.
