Thunderstorms shortened the Friday evening events at this year's Hamilton Daly Days.

The Buy Local Auction was shorter than the previous year, as storm clouds threatened, but only brought a little wind to the auction, as Cliff Trexler had fun with the thousands of dollars in receipt bids.

Then, just before Cold Hard Cash was to begin, the storm hit, and people were running for cover and trying to keep the pop-tents from popping. At least three vendor tents were collapsed by the sudden, violent wind. Then the rain kept the band from playing until about 9:30. They managed to get about two hours of great music, including some fine, fine Johnny Cash tunes.
