Darby Library Gets Book Discussion Funding
Humanities Montana has awarded $1,000 to the Darby Library – part of over $21,000 awarded statewide by the group.
The money at the Darby Community Library will support three book groups in the “Darby Book Discussion Series – Winter/Spring 2014.” Two of the groups are “person-to-person” meetings and one other is conducted online.
The Humanities Montana funding also awarded $500 for “Winter Storytelling at Traveler’s Rest,” the programs at the Lolo State Park, which started last weekend.
The theme this year focuses on famous and ordinary women in Montana and is every Saturday at 11 a.m. through March 22.
Awards were also given to the Mansfield Library at the University of Montana, the Montana State University College of Arts and Architecture series on creativity, Parmly Billings Library Foundation discussion of the future of the printed word, and the Bozeman Public Library’s “Children’s Festival of the Book,” along with other projects in Choteau, Missoula, Bozeman, Helena and Havre.
