Award-winning western music singer-songwriter Dave Stamey returned to Hamilton's Daly Mansion August 2nd for the second year in a row. Almost 300 people enjoyed the summertime outdoor concert this week. Stamey's gentle style has resulted in the Western Music Association naming him Male Performer of the Year seven times and Songwriter of the Year five times. He's also been awarded the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. Dave was inducted into the Western Music Hall of Fame two years ago.

Stamey uses his own experiences as cowboy, mule packer and "dude" wrangler to create his true-to-life lyrics. The audience had its share of well-worn boots and cowboy hats. His solo performance has taken him to Nevada, California, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Ohio and New Mexico, among other states. From Hamilton, Dave was on his way to Wyoming.
