Downtown Hamilton was Overwhelmed by Small Ghouls
The rain dampened the parade, but downtown Hamilton filled with trick-or-treaters Thursday afternoon.
The annual Downtown Hamilton Association Halloween Parade covered the two-block route fairly quickly as most of the kids (and their parents) headed under the stores' awnings, to escape the raindrops.
The businesses were set up to hand out goodies to the kids and over 700 ghosts, superheroes, zombies, movie stars and robots lined the sidewalks for over an hour, grabbing candy.
It was fun to see the adults taking as much care with their own costumes as the kids. A couple of stand-outs were Sasquatch and Maleficent from Disney's "Sleeping Beauty."
After the initial rain shower, the weather allowed further Halloween activities to reach the usual crowded levels at the Harvest Party at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds and in some of the more popular trick-or-treat neighborhoods.
