Eagle at Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge
A patient bald eagle is at one of the major ponds in the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge near Stevensville.
This eagle landed at the pond Wednesday afternoon, February 19. Bald eagles are seen throughout the year in the Bitterroot Valley. Bob Danley of the refuge reported that golden eagles were seen this month. They’re the first seen at the refuge this year.
